Listed below are the awards that our judges award to our exhibitors at one of our conformation dog shows.

Kennel Club USA and the American Rare Breed Association are looking for good show venues.Call Robert at 301-868-5718 if you know of a good show site!

Conformation

The American Rare Breed Association conducts approximately 30 conformation dog shows accross the United States.

ARBA is looking for show venues.  Please send your suggestion of a show site by email to robert@arba.org

Coton De Tulear

This breed is a Coton De Tulear, which is in our Group Nine.  The breed is a lovely breed and a great Companion. The ideal coat is cottny or fluffy rather than silky. Coton of course, translates to " cot-ton".  The outer coat is long and white, no undercoat is present. 

Stewards

We are looking for individuals that are willing to share a day or two with us and to assist us with the show rings assisting the judge with his or her ring. SHOW AWARDS

 

CLASS JUDGING

First Place:  This placement is given to both dogs and bitches in the class they are entered into.


Second Place: This placement is given to both dogs and bitches in the class they are entered into.


Third Place:  This placement is given to both dogs and bitches in the class they are entered into.


Fourth Place:  This placement is given to both dogs and bitches in the class they are entered into.


WINNERS CLASS


Winners Dog:  This award is awarded to the dog the judge chooses from all of the male class dogs.  This is the dog the judge picks as the best dog amongst the classes. The judge then awards the Reserve Winners Dog.

Winners Bitch:  This award is awarded to the bitch the judge chooses from all of the male class dogs.  This is the dog the judge picks as the best bitch amongst the classes.  The judge then awards the Reserve Winners Bitch.



BEST OF BREED

T
he Best of Breed is awarded from the Champion Dogs, Champion Bitches, Winners Dog, and Winners Bitch.  The judge can choose from any of the above, he or she does not have to choose a champion as the Best Of Breed.
 


BEST OF OPPOSITE SEX

The Best of Opposite Sex is awarded from the Champion Dogs, Champion Bitches, Winners Dog, and Winners Bitch.  The judge can choose from any of the above, he or she does not have to choose a champion as the Best Of Opposite Sex. This award is given to the Best Of Breed's opposite sex. (i.e. if a dog is given the best of breed award then a bitch must be awarded the best of opposite sex)


BEST OF WINNERS

This award is given to either the Winners Dog or Winners Bitch.  If both a Winners Dog and a Winners Bitch are not in the Best Of Breed competition then there as no Best Of Winners awarded.  There has to be a Winners Dog and a Winners Bitch in the Best of Breed Class for the Beswt of Winners to be awarded.


GROUPS

Group One is given by the judge to the best dog or bitch in the group.


Group Two is given by the judge to the dog or bitch that he chooses to be the second best dog in the ring.


Group Three is given by the judge to the dog or the bitch that he chooses to be the third best dog in the ring


Group Four is given by the judge to the dog or the bitch that he chooses to be the fourth best dog in the ring



BEST IN SHOW

Best in Show is given by the judge to the dog that he or she feels is the best dog in the ring from the Group Winners.


BEST IN SHOW RESERVE

Best in Show Reserve is given by the judge to the second best dog from the groups.


BEST IN CLASSIC

The Best In Classic is awarded to the dog or bitch thas has earned the most of amount of points durning the week-end between the American Rare Breed Association and Kennel Club USA.
